Re: Losing the 'gaming' mojo

I go through this from time time, so usually I take a complete break from gaming for a week or 2 and do other things. It usually helps if you have other interests, especially outdoorsy-type stuff.

After a while I feel more like wanting to play once again. Feels easy to get back into and still find enjoyment in a lot of games. I suppose depends on how much time you spend playing normally.

Re: Losing the 'gaming' mojo

Same here new game releases are getting a tad stagnant same old stuff but repackaged.

I am actually playing a bit of my back catalogue BFBC2, Resistance 2 and Uncharted 2.

Max Payne 3 is the only new game i have purchased in 2012 so far good from what i have played so far.

I think developers need to risk more ideas gaming is getting pretty run of the mill.

Re: Losing the 'gaming' mojo

I go through phases like this from time to time even when i have plenty of games that are just sitting on the shelf waiting to be played.

i compensate this by watching an entire series of anime & tv series which can usually take a week or so then try & go back playing the next game in my collection.

My biggest problem i have is if a game doesn't grab interest i get bored halfway through put them down & can never get back into them.

I have that problem with BF3 love the game but for some reason i just can't get my head around wanting to play it.

It's funny how I felt like playing my games during exams. Now my exams are over and I don't feel like playing anything and I've got lots to play. Sometimes I think it's the games we're currently playing that causes this, playing similar types of games saturates the senses hence the boredom. OP you mentioned playing Fallout 3, New vegas, Skyrim. Do you notice that these games require a whole lot of time and patience to immerse the player?

I tried playing fallout 3 lately and after 10-15 mins I became so bored. But I didnt have a problem playing Uncharted 3 multiplayer prior to playing Fallout 3. Vareity is key. Some genres just arean't meant for everyone, one has to be able to understand that.

I know what you mean! I've got about 2-3 games on the go at the moment;

MW3- Go to multiplayer

Warriors Orochi 3 - Go to Hack n' Slash (Great game by the way, if you like Dynasty Warriors :smileytongue:

GTA: Lost and Damned

Having said that I have bought Dragons Dogma today, and has to be the first thing to keep me playing for more than 10 minutes in about a  week!

Re: Losing the 'gaming' mojo

Im the same i spend more time on the xmb trying to decide what to play than on any game. ive bought skyrim, mass effect 3 and max payne this year yet ive hardly played on them at all. all i talked about last year was how awesome mass effect was going to be but i just cant play it for some reason and what ive played ive really enjoyed.

Re: Losing the 'gaming' mojo

I've felt like this in the past.

Maybe you need a change of games. Try buying some telltale games like back to the future, strongbad game for attractive people or max and sam. These have a few episodes, so you can play 1 episode at a time. You also don't have to mess about putting discs in the ps3. Just turn ps3 on and go for a short burst.
