Other than 3d vs 2d what is the difference between LBP and Minecraft?

Hell, I'll throw in garry's mod as well.

i have all 3 and minecraft is my fav by far
in minecraft you can shape the landscape how ever you want. you dont get given tools you have to craft them from trees/ stone/ iron etc that you gather. you need to keep yourself fed, so you need to farm wheat or animals. the only thing minecraft really lacks is an actual story.
garys mod is a bunch of tools and objects you put together to make things, altough pretty cool its pretty limited
lbp is a level designer basically and is much like garys mod, but with more direction and more useful tools

There is a way to play Minecraft so it feels like your playing it on PS3... sort of. Its kind of complicated though. If you have a laptop or computer with Minecraft installed on it, connect a HDMI cable to the computer and link it to your T.V. Then you will have to download two programs for your computer, one is called MotionJoy Gamepad Tool (or DS3 tool) and the other is called Minecontrol for Minecraft. They are both free so don't worry. Then with the DS3 Tool, connect the PS3 controller to your computer using the USB charging cable and go through all of the steps to connect it (you may want to look on youtube). Once it is connected, on the DS3 tool, change the controller setting to an Xbox 360 emulator. Then launch the Minecontrol for Minecraft program and open Minecraft. Then you should be able to play Minecraft on your T.V with a PS3 controller. Sorry its so complicated
