Re: Minecraft

Totally agrree LFC. I don't know much about it admittedly, but it looks like a game for kids centred around building structures out of Lego blocks made up of cacka 8-bit graphics.

2 days ago I thought the same when I downloaded the trial I just started hitting a tree and then switched it off because I got bored. I then gave it another go and after it taking me 25 minutes to figure out how to create a shovel it got interesting. After I knew what I was doing it got very addicting and enjoyed building a house ect.

I fined it to be one of them games when you want to kill time. One of them games where you just start the game and immediately get into.

Re: Minecraft

I don't really like the game, but yes, i imagine many PS3 owners would love the game. The vast majority of PS3 owners are exactly the same species as 360 owners, and PC gamers.

It can be quite a deep game, people have made some insane things and there are huge communities around it. Far beyond any for any single PS3 or 360 exclusive game, yes, including the huge ones like Halo. The nature of the game means people often want to collaborate, the player run servers (on PC) and all the different mods push the community on.

There have been some pretty stupid comment made in this thread about it, it's fine not liking it, but when you openly admit to not knowing much about it then go on to judge it in such a way, it comes off a pretty stupid.

There's nothing stupid about simply stating one's observations. :smileywink:

I might give it a go after reading Ocelot's post - though what do you do with the house once you've built it ?
