Having a problem with my sons PS3. I can't turn it off. Eject button works but nothing happens with power button. Tried to turn it off using the controllers, however when I turn these on they just keep flashing & don't pair with console. Unit is about a year old, never had any issues before. I am a novice with these & would appreciate any help. Cheers

Odd..

Have you tried to connect the controller with the USB lead and then try to switch off with the USB....

Potentially the system has frozen ....was it in the XMB or mid game with a freeze???

If it has frozen a soft reset is the answer...hold the power button down until you hear 1 beep and then release..it should shut down and restart...hopefully when it does you should be back at the XMB and the cotrollers will pair again and you can shut down as normal...

Pretty sure system was turned off while we were away (can't be positive with kids). Tried Controller connected to USB, however when you turn controller on it just keeps flashing all 4 lights for about 2 minutes then stops (& doesn't pair)

Definately wasn't mid game but not sure what XMB means.

How long do I have to hold power button down to do soft reset.

Sorry to hear of your troubles.

To add to what Smelck has said (thanks Smelck) - for a soft reset / soft power off - you can usually just hold down the power button until it powers off - should be no more than 10 or 20 seconds.

To see if you can resolve the controller issues, you might need to recalibrate these - if it's both controllers, it would more than likely indicate the problem is with the console, however -

On the back of the controllers, you'll find an indented button to the right of the screw. If you power on the controller, usually best if plugged in - press the button for 10 seconds or until the lights turn off on the top of the controller.

This should hopefuly resolve the controller issues.

Hi guys! does anyone know the size of the complete pack dlc for gt5? have the 2.02 update fitted. live in the country and my download speed is attrocious! took me six hours to download the update! any help please?

GT5 Complete Car Pack - From memory this is just an unlock.

(As long as you have 2.01 or higher) It will only be 30KB or so.
