Hi

I just got one of these routers (Belkin) http://www.elara.ie/products/detailsfull.asp?productcode=ECE1642561 today and cant seem to connect my ps3 up to it properly. Sometimes when i scan itll pick the router up and connect. Most of the time itll just come up with no access point detected. Ive setup the router correctly and removed all security just to see if it can connect but it doesnt. Is there a problem with the router and belkin routers? I can connect other devices to it such as laptops and iphones fine. Clueless atm!!! Any help would be great!

How far away is the router ?

Yeah wirelessly! Picking up 80% signal! Its just really weird. Usually if my iphone can connect then my playstation can too. Tried most things like restating the router etc. Never had a belkin router before! Is a belkin router different to setup with a ps3?

Actually not picking up any signal as most of the times it doesnt pick up anything but when it does it comes up with about 80.

Setup on the PC the network , PS3 picked it up wireless 25 to 60% for like a week then it fixed it self. So it was stable

So it was picking up the router before ? how odd

And all other devices can pick it up.

Picks up other devices just not the ps3! Is so weird! Just got the router today too! Anyway ill mess about with the settings and see if i can fix it! Thx anyway!

Sorry just found out that there were apparently millions of threads on this. These belkin routers dont work on the ps3. Does anyone know what belkin routers do work with the ps3???

Hey bud, I have the exact same router more or less and It works fine on my network. It could be where your placing your Router. Is it near any large electrical items that could be interfering with the signal.  If it is try moving it to another location if you can.  Other than that I can't imagine why it's being so inconsistent.  I'd send it back as faulty because it shouldn’t be doing that.
