Hey guys, well my 60GB unfortunately bit the dust today, so I went into town and got a new Slim. 

Took it home, set it up, everything lovely jubly. I stick COD in and obviously need to re-update it with the latest update, but it only gets up to a random percentage and then just stops. This happened about four times until i tried doing a connection test, and when it tried the Download/Uplaod speed test it failed. Anyone know what this is to do with?

Also, its not not connecting to the PSN but I presume this is just standard maintenance?

Just a random guess: maybe its got something to do with how far away you are from your router. What signal percentage would your old 60gb be, and whats your new Playstation Slim signal percentage?

Its 100%. Its about 1 metre away from the router. The same happens wired and wirelessly

hmm... I'm not sure. try doing this and see if it gets you any results. Keep your PS3 on, and switch off your wireless router for a few secs. Then plug it back in, and see if it helps refresh your network

That isn't my problem. It literally wont download anything/ Not the update, not the COD update, not anything off the Store.
