I think sony will mind you, once the PS4 gets here and the PS3 takes over from the PS2.  mmm PS3 for a budget price, that sounds good.

I don't really see any point in it to be honest.The current slim isn't exactly huge, and making it smaller will probably remove features.

if you want 2 cut price/reduce / shipping etc. its a valid move and the ps3 slim aint exactly on the PS2 slim "lvl yet" ^_^

I read that article before and it left me confused that from that very vague interview they concluded there may be, or may not be, a super slim

To be honest there is nothing wrong with the PS3 or the Slim SONY are really milking this gen but I really would even like a sneak peak of whats to come not a 'Super Slim'

The PS3 is at the end of it's life-cycle why would they bother? If memory serves, after the PS3 was released sony either outsourced the manufacturing of all PS2's to an outside company or gave the licence to manufacture and ship them to an outside comapny.

giant stock of parts, they may have made the CELL 18nm or smaller and they may use it in the "PS4" aswell. maybe a dual CELL type chip who knows. lets see at Gamescom
