My releases PS3 got the YLOD the other night. I find the £134 for a replacement console a bit excessive with the we have no faith 3 month warranty.

I have had a good run with my Ps3 and own about 30 games that are exclusive to the system, but seeing the PS3 is in its twilight, Im thinking the Wii-U might be a better purchase.

So if you were in the market for a new console would you buy new Ps3 slim or a Wii U ?

Well the ps3 is really cheap right now so I would go with a new ps3 because there are lots of more game to be released for it.

yeah it's a bit pointless asking on Playstation forum whether to switch consoles. a 160GB model is not much more than the price you just quoted and I'm assuming you meant release day PS3, so I'd say get slim and sell your Fat on for spares/repairs but make sure it's deactivated first.

And in the long run it's the cheapest option as they already have 30 games.

new wii = more new games to buy.

how can you justify paying that amount of money for a refurb with 3 months warranty when an extra 30ish pounds gets a brand new one with a full warranty

No date or price set for the Wii U

May as well get a new PS3 for now then if you want the Wii U at a later date when it is out think about it then

in a way, i guess it depends on if you care about saving money or not

obviously the ps3 is the cheaper option as these guys have proven if you've got games for the PS3 allready then i would get the PS3 coz then u dont have to spend money on games
