Just got my copy.

The cover is a bit misleading, going on about an 'exclusive verdict' on Black Ops which is a feature and not a review.

i hate it when they do that, i bought a magazine for their "verdict" on medal of honor and it was just an interview with the developer and a bit of a preview!!

Good review for Vanquish, did they mention the length at all? Some places say 4 hours others are saying about 8.

Cheers.  Still a touch on the short side but sounds like it's good enough to make up for it.

Vanquish is still looking the tastiest game out there for me atm. But given the fact it's SP only I think a rental is more justified.

Yes - I apologised for this is my ed's intro. Polyphony Digital were still tweaking the game as we approached press time so we had to postpone it 'til next month. Contrary to what some might like to think, we simply won't review a game until it's finished.

Which is exactly why we went for the 'verdict' feature for COD - we wanted to give you guys something meaty about the game so close to release, but we can't score a product without it being the finalised version. So instead the feature has star ratings out of five for various elements of the game, based upon Leon Hurley's three day trip to Treyarch last month.

There are a few gaming mags that use this misleading approach & paste WORLD EXCLUSIVE VERDICT on the cover.  Of course many people are going to incorrectly assume that they they have the review & they knowingly do it to shift some extra copies.  However, people wise up soon enough to these tactics.  Remember that these mags will never be shy to use the word REVIEW when they actually have something.
