Re: OPSM Issue 43 April - Review Scores !

good scores for Yakuza 3 and JC2, I was interested in both games until I played the demos and didn't like either of them.

9 for Yakuza 3. Noice!

Since the demo on PSN i haven't heard a good thing about it hows that then lol?

I might buy Way of the Samurai 3 when its cheap as it looks pretty cool and its different from the rest of the norm.

Yeah I guess the whole thing about the 'westernisation' of several features of the game has overshadowed its release, but the reviews as a whole have been positive. It's on something like 84% on gamerankings so taint all bad.

You actually use the disc? :smileysurprised: Mine goes in the bin when I open the magazine. Total waste of time. So my disc is in the wheelie bin now, but the mag says you get Army of Two 2, Need for Speed Shift, Ratchet and Clank:ACIT, Dragon Ball Raging Blast, Fairytale Fights, Vancouver 2010, MX vs ATV Reflex, Smash Cars, Fat Princess, NBA 2K10, Mushroom Wars, Where the Wild Things Are, Lost Planet 2.

5 for star ocean seems a bit harsh.
Trust me it isnt harsh, I've played the 360 version and I was so hyped over it, the story just inst that good, plus the annoying respawning of enemies (clear a level, go through a door, go back through the door and the whole level is repopulated again)

How are you supposed to grind and level up if the enemies don't respawn ? If you don't want to battle any of them then you simply avoid them !

I quite like the story, even though the voice acting is lame - I feel like throwing a brick at Lymle every time she ends her sentence with 'Kay ?' ! The artwork and character designs are also beautiful.

Yeah I agree, the battle system's so good that level grinding is so much less of a chore and the fact that enemies respawn gives you all the grinding you could ever need. I don't mind Lymle too much, its the cat one that ***** me off. Very much enjoyed my play time with it so far, havent played a decent JRPG for ages and suddenly this and FF13 come along. Still on the fence about White Knight Chronicles though.

Pre-ordered JC2 for the lad, don't know why people are giving it a hard time as it's a hell of a lot of fun to play! GTA on a tropical island IMO which can't be that bad!

Saying that though i enjoyed the first game which by the way is £4.95 on Steam this weekend!

Yea the JRPG's are like buses ! I've been waiting for one ever since the PS3 was released, then Star Ocean, FFXIII and WKC all turn up at the same time lol !

If you're like me, then I'd rather finish one first before starting another - which is a bit of a mare, as Heavy Rain and WKC are both sitting there unopened because of Star Ocean ! I think once this is done, and then Heavy Rain, I'll get FFXIII to play through before WKC.

I was so looking forward to WKC, but after seeing the reviews for it, I think my bubble may get burst. :smileysad:

Re: OPSM Issue 43 April - Review Scores !

I got WKC a few days ago FORCE, I've only put in about 30 minutes but she's nay great so far.

I'd wait until the price drops a bit, as I wouldn't pay full price for it myself, but then again, I'm not the biggest fan of JRPG's and it might yet grow on me.
