I just got a PS3 Store 'n Charge system to charge both my controllers at the same time while charging my mini keyboard with the built in cable. It also allows me to store my games and controllers, and includes a vertical stand for the PS3.

The stand fits nicely and the small game shelf, although a hassle to assemble, also hold the games just fine. The charging station, while practical, is quite another story though.

This is exacly the reason why I'm usally sceptical about third party accessories.

Both controllers and keyboard charge fine using the PS3 usb ports.

• The keyboard won't charge at all in the chargins station, which is fine cause it wasn't designed for it.
• The almost fully charge controller charges fine in both connectors on the station.
• The half-full controller refuses to charge at all, the charging station claims it's fully charged! 

Anyone else got any experience with this accessory they would like to share?

UPDATE:

Fully charged the controller using my PS3 usb port and NOW IT WILL CHARGE!!!

This thin is just stupid. 

I have no use for a charger who can only charge fully charged chargeables. 

I suppose I can just use it as a controller stand then, and charge using my PS3.

Sounds like the charging base is just broken and can't detect the Higher current drain of the DS3s.

But the charging base does not need to detect the DS3. The DS3 cuts the recharge circuit off buy its self not the charger. DS3s do this So they can be charged from any USB port then stop draining the USB power. 

How Did 4Gamers get the Official tag they have always been poor quality products even During PS2 days...

Thats got to be the ugliest Ps3 accessory iv,e ever seen,add the fact that it also doesn,t work properly and this ones definitely not on my must have list.

I bought a replacement Pelican charger at the weekend (my last one sadly died after years of service They seem to be made by Energizer now but they are the same product and if you only want to charge your controllers they are brilliant !
