I keep getting an on screen message telling me I have been playing for thirty or sixty minutes whilst using my ps3. How do I stop this, any one else getting this? I don't mean the new warning on start up. Help it's annoying

hmmm i've never had this problem, or even heard of it..... but i'll bet it's got something to do with parental controls(check those setting & put it to the highest number 9+)......don't stress, someone clever & or nerdrific will be along shortly(a day or 3) to help

Have you tried turning off notification settings ??
Although doing this will also stop the messages that one of your friends is online

Never heard of that one myself.

Are you playing a particular game?

Is it when you are playing a game, as opposed to just sitting at the XMB, or watching a movie?

Where does the message appear? Does the game pause and show the message instead, or does it just appear where the notifications appear? - in the top right corner.

Can't say I've ever heard or seen this too.......if it's not the notifications (which can be turned off) then as sbs points out, it may be game related...odd ..

edit....crikey......... drank too much wine tonight...even basic grammar is tough ...lol

its not a timed demo is it? telling you your about to run out of time playing the demo?

Is it a message from the TV itself? A setting in the TV indicating it's been on for 30 minutes etc?

Hi all and thanks. The message is in the top right of the screen. It shows playing a game or watching a movie. Just says 30 minutes then 60 minutes. Does not pause just flashes up briefly then goes. Very odd thing. Seems I have a unique problem. Can't be the tv as it only happens on the ps3. Tv and DVD player are ok. So seems Sony related.
