Re: PS3 Audio Cutting Out!

Bro I had once tried the option you said. I had also tried the 'Restore File System' option. Now I tried it again. But that did not work at all. The same audio cutting prevails.
When I clicked the option 'Rebuild Database' in my PS3, it said that "This option will rebuild the database in your hard disk". So it only affects the hard disk which I would soon be replacing.
I also noticed that RDR also doesn't have the audio cutting.
Then how come AC2 and AC:B have the problem.....What is so special to AC series? Also Brotherhood is a sealed copy whereas RDR is a used copy. Strange huh?

Re: PS3 Audio Cutting Out!

I fixed the problem myself guys. My suspicions were right and it was a fault with the PS3 HDD itself. So I replaced it with a new Western Digital Scorpio Blue 250GB HDD Intenal Hard Drive with the help of a youtube video on how to replace your PS3 HDD. And then finally with my fingers crossed I started playing Brotherhood and shoo! The game is now finally running without any issues at all and I'm very happy that I am now playing it very comfortably!

Re: PS3 Audio Cutting Out!

Jumping into an old thread here, but I think I'm having the same issue.

It's probably all these bloody restarts I had to do with Fifa 13 as I had no issue before that.

I'm sure all these restarts are not good for my PS3!

Now I have loading issues with Uncharted 3 (textures pop in, scenes load strangly, if at all and some sounds/menu music cuts in and out, & Sound issues in Assassins Creed Rev.

Crowd chants have issues in Fifa 13 aswell (background and commentary stay working, just the crowd reactions to shots, fouls skips when it's playing)

I don't know if that is my PS3 doing that, or the game as it's bugged to hell

Some games work fine though. Rage works like a charm apart from the texture loading, but I think that's the actual game doing that.

GT5 also works fine and without issue. Haven't tested anything else yet.

I've tried deleting game & update data for both games. No effect.

UC 3 was actually worse second time round, then it cleared up completely.

AC is a pain though.

I don't think it's my BD drive. Well... I HOPE it's not anyway

My HDD makes random nasty noises (a whizzgrindclunk) since I've had it.

I would have taken it back, but it only did it twice in the first year, and I thought it was the Blu-ray moving at the time.

Only after a year did it happen when there wasn't a disc in there and playing infamous from the HDD.

Arg!

Can anyone recommend a good HDD to get to replace the old one?

i only puts games on it so doesn't need to be a 1TB or anything.

I have a PS3 slim, 320gb. 2 years old now I think.

Will I lose any game saves from the stupidly long games when I do a back up? GT5, AC?

Also, can i just use any old external device for the system back up?

Re: PS3 Audio Cutting Out!

I had the exact same problem, whenever i played a game for more than 15 minutes the audio started cutting out for like 5 seconds and then back to normal and kept on happening, i could hear the background noise though, so i tried Restore file system, restore data base, i even used another HDMI cable and tv but the problem still persisted. So the way i fixed it was i did a quick format and it fixed the problem.
