PS3 Disc's breaking

I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, the other night I went to play one of my

games as per usual put the game in the machine an waited for it to load up but it wouldn't

so I took it out to have a look an there was a split from the center going out.

This is not the first time this has happened, 5 times with the same game(GRAW2) an once

with my Splinter Cell Trilogy, an now its p**sing me off big time

What could be causing this to happen

Answers would be much appreciated  :Help: :Peace:

Maybe you might be a little eager when taking them from their boxes.

Re: PS3 Disc's breaking

No diffrent from any other time, all my other games are fine

an theres like 35 games so far.

I have noticed that the bit you press to get the disc out is

a bit tough sometimes, maybe thats something

Sony or who ever makes the boxes for them

should have a look at, just a thought

Re: PS3 Disc's breaking

That's probably what it is, sometimes they are in very tight and you need to take care when taking them out.
I've had one disc with a slight crack from the centre too and I'm pretty careful with them also.

Re: PS3 Disc's breaking

get some superglue, it should take care of the crack.

Re: PS3 Disc's breaking

Might give that a shot but its right through the

security code at the center of the disc

Re: PS3 Disc's breaking

This happened to my copy of Skyrim fairly recently. The publisher sent a replacement out a week later. If the store you got it from won't replace it get in touch with the publisher and they should sort you out. There's usually a small fee though.

It is part of the problem, as putting the disc back into the case while it's still hot would start the process going.

A rule of thumb is to let the disc cool down before putting it back in the case properly (I always put the disc back into the case, but I won't secure it properly until the disc has completely cooled down)

If you do a search of the forums there should be other threads about the exact same thing.
