Anyone with some issues already ?! one guy so far, where just before the update last night no picture from the ps3 anymore..

Just to make sure you dont mess anything up or the ps3 does it on its own.. make sure to TAKE OUT ANY disc in the Blu-ray Drive.

and you could plug the usb cable into the controller to be sure the ps3 got a soild connection, if its flashing chips in the controller etc..

Use this thread if you encounter any problems after installling the update.

Yeah I did,

As I mentioned on Twitter, The update at first made all my Bluetooth items that where synced to the console completely died.

But after turning it off for 10 mins(while i ate breakfast) I re-synced my Blue DS3 controller via USB then it worked again

Magic?....nah I'm guessing the bluetooth wanted to nap for 10 mins

I left the update installing and went off to do something else, but when I returned I just caught sight of my PS vanishing into thin air amidst a puff of purple smoke.

Is this normal? or is this some sort of cloaking technology being employed in the new firmware that makes PS3's harder to steal?

I updated at home and at work this morning. No problems at all as usual.

OMG... havnt played on my PS3 since last week and Sony spring another update on it... maybe they should concentrate on other things than updates... getting content on the EU stores (like USA and Japan have) would be a good use of resources...

OP: add backup your gamesaves before you update to your list...  better safe than sorry...
