I only purchased my PS3 approximately 4 months ago purely for the purpose of on-line gaming. The extras PS3 offers are of no interest to me I already have a computer and tv satellite system... I have a PS2 too. So as I say the ability to play on-line is the only reason for me spending £200+ on a gaming system.
Since buying it I've lost basically a month of gaming due to the well publicised hacking problem.
Now I find since PS3 has come back on line I'm regularly being disconnected from games mid-way through and have to go looking to start afresh in a new lobby.
As of approximately 18:00 hrs (BST), 29th May 2011 the system is permanently freezing and not allowing me to get a game. I log out go through the whole logging in process and if I'm lucky I'll get to complete 1 whole game before it either kicks me out or freezes again.
I have to ask is the same old problem back? I am now at the point of thinking of just getting rid of the PS3 as it is not doing what was promised. I would like to know is this just my problem or other gamers experiencing it too? Is it time to say goodbye to Playstation. Being told that there are plenty of games out there to buy that don't require to be played on-line is not satisfactory to me, as I've previously said I didn't purchase the system for that.
I am greatly disappointed that a company the size of Sony appears capable to fix the problems that are occurring and my faith in their ability to sort these problems once and for all is waning.
Please is it just me having these latest problems or are others experiencing the same
