I was installing the modnation racer demo then the percentage got stuck and my ps3 restarted, when it restarted it asked me to rebuild the hard disk so i cllicked ok. It then started back up as normal however after a few minutes it just crashed. What should I do, Reformat the hdd and hope this fixes it?

Try holding down the power button from stand-by until you hear 3 beeps (I think it's three) and try rebuild database again.

Did the file die on you during installation and chuck an error code at you? Mine did the same once and disabling the SPI firewall in my router seemed to resolve the issue.

Yes I got an error, can't remember what it was but I rebuilt the file system again and its working fine. There is still a corrupt file and I cant delete it, is there anyway to delete or will I have to keep it?

Go to your download list and redownload the file - don't download it in the background (I know it's annoying) and it should replace the corrupt file,
