PS3 Powers On... Then Off

Hello.

I have searched the forum for any mention of my problem but have not seen any like it.

The PS3 I have is on its 4th YLOD repair. I purchased some extra copper shims to go on the CPU and GPU (both thermal pasted) and applied flux to them also.

Now when I turn on the PS3 it turns on like normal, with the Green light, then Blue, then a beep, another blue light then another beep and turns off to the solid red light.

NOT 3 beeps, but 2

Not a YLOD

Not a FLASHING red light but a solid one, just as if it has been turned off.

I have unseated the HDD, taken it apart and rebuilt it again (it didn't recieve power at first, then I got it to turn onto its current problem)

Does anyone have any idea what this problem is? I havn't seen it listed anywhere

Re: PS3 Powers On... Then Off

Switches on at back and auto starts... Seems normal.
Green light beeps and flashes once, then PS3 returns to standby and it unable to be switched on unless it is switched off at the back for 5 seconds or more...

Any ideas?

The fan starts and slows fowm, it seemed all good... Any ideas?

Re: PS3 Powers On... Then Off

Hi there,

If your console has been opened up, and not by the authorised repair centre, then it may be exhibiting symptoms that are not recognised as normal symptoms.

What you are describing is something I've personally never heard of with a PS3 console.
