PS3 and BTOpenzone/BTFON

There was a time with prior firmware when I could log a PS3 into a BT hotspot.

Havent tried for a while, but when I try now with current firmware I type in the correct credentials but its keeps going back to the openzone login screen.

My vita does the same thing. Its not a specific hotspot, I hve the same issue in both London and Birmingham at a mates house.

Does anyone have a solution to this problem. My laptop works fine with the same hotspot credentials.

Try clearing your cookies and cache, and setting the consoles up again from scratch. Also, make sure you have at least 60% signal for the page to function properly.

Also, BT may have blocked the connection on your BT account with those devices under fair usage (which is possible, but not too likely). It might be worth checking with them.

Finally, there could possibly be a fault with both openzones. They're not exactly well known for their reliability :smileytongue:

More likely BT changed the site coding.

You'll have to waitt for more Vita users to confirm they can still login.

I solved the issue.

My laptop lets me login using just my bt username.

I can login to the PS3 using <username>@btinternet.com as the username.

It used to work just using the username part on the PS3. Now it needs a fully formed email address it seems, but my laptop just needs the first bit as always

wierd

Sounds like BT have updated the service then. Glad you're sorted!

We have lost 2 moderators from the English forum with no sign of the advert for there replacements.

So I would surgest hitting Yasters and The newer guys  PM box (I still can't remember this ID..) as I don't expect them to be working weekends, Fridays have been half days for most at london tower before.

Strangly Liquid Runner has been around on weekends more than the rest so PM him as well as a back up. Er when did you lose your badge or did you never have one...

But I don't think SCE Can  tell BT to do any thing about fixing/reversing their system.

As a BT customer BT Sould take notice If you go direct to their forums.

( LOL sorry, one can dream. They should does not mean they will. )

I know BT add a small charge to your monthly sub to cover the Wifi points cost and BTs view will be that your lap top works so you have to pay but you should still try to get a few pence of the bill.

You might like to warn other vita users in the vita section that this may effect them.

Have you tried other free wifi points like that coffee shop chain that sub rent BTs wifi system

To see if this change is speading.

I know a lot of Free Wifi in Bournemouth has been removed and replaced with pay to use wifi. I cant use it at the beach any more. I hate the Peir it is to far to walk...
