PS3 'beep' sound gone?

Hi
My PS3 no longer makes the beep sound when I turn it on and off, or atleast it does still beep but it is very very faint and you have to listen carefully to hear it. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know why this has happened?

Nothing to worry about, ive completely removed mine from the mother board, its just a small component which will no affect on your ps3, its probably had some heat damage or just old age.
