 CECHZC2U - top controller, had it about a year maybe longer imported from HK, thumb sticks are perfect.

So basically, the code is, if the second last digit is a 1 its sixaxis, if its a 2 its a dualshock. the letter at the end represents the region it was made in, U,E,A,J,H etc.

My DualShock 3 is a CECHZC2U from America, while my Sixaxis from my launch system is a CECHZC1E.

The build quality on the DualShock is much better than the Sixaxis; my joysticks get stuck on the Sixaxis, and never go back into the centre like my DualShock does.

i have a CHECZC2J white one imported from hong kong or japan (cant remember) that very good quality build, 100X better than my sixaxis

The CECHZC2E controller comes with the UK (Europe) models also

I just purchased a SONY controller for my PS3 that is model CECHZC2U (MSU_VX3_0.11). When I press the PS button I get 4 leds flashing (for about 30 seconds, then stops). It does not charge. The battery is 100% working (used in other controllers). It does not connect to the PS3 (with official USB connected or not connected)). The reset button will not fix this. there is no visible damage inside or outside. I was thinking maybe a USB pin (middle one) might be missing but I son't have the same model and version to compare to. Any ideas?

yo, the model number ending in U is from the UNITED STATES.... it's legit and not bad quality, you just got a defective one probably

anyone discovered whats the difference betwin them?
