Well, I'm getting a PS3 for Christmas and I was just wondering if you could answer some basic questions for me. (Getting a PS3 slim btw)
With the built in wireless, how do you connect to PSN? Is there like a wireless setup page where you just enter your WEP key etc?
Is there an optical port on the back of the console? I'll wanna plug in my X4s, but my Xbox 360 is taking up the component slots on my TV so I'm gonna connect the PS3 via HDMI. Is there no optical port on the back so I'll have to get a HDMI calbe with an optical port?
Also, when charging the PS3 controllers do you have to have them docked on the console or whatever? Or is there a cable you can plug into your console to charge while you play?

To connect your PS3 to your router (and by extension the PSN), there is a simple procedure to follow under "Network Settings". Its quick, simple and harmless.
Yes, there is an optical output for audio and you can also use the HDMI port for audio too.
Charging the controllers is easy, you jusy plug them into your console (or any USB port on any device) and they will charge. You can also get a mirriad of third party chargers/stands, the Pelican being best of the bunch.
