PS3 problem

Hi there. I was playing Fifa the other day there when my ps3 made a weird loud noise sort of reminiscent of a blender.

So i turned it off at the wall and put it back on again, it read the disk but then when i went to start up the game it just crashed where the playstation 3 sign normally comes up and went to a blank screen.

I've had it working since wednesday when it first did it, on Friday night i was playing Fifa but it hasn't worked since then, i've tried DVD's other games and everything, nada.

Someone on another forum i use said it may be the hard drive, someone else mentioned blu-ray drive, which either way i'm going to have to put in myself because i have no warranty.

Anybody here had this problem and rectified it/know how to fix this problem who could help me out?

Thanks.

Anyway i found this on looking around the forum, sorry i could not find anything on the english forum odd search thing going on.

Tells you how to get into the restore menu.

Link

If you restore to default then it will remove all data off the ps3 HDD.

Re: PS3 problem

Hopefully it isn't your BR drive failing like mine did, and that the system restore works.

It didn't on mine :smileysad:
