Does sony do PS3 repairs? If they don't where would you go to get one fixed?

Yeah Sony repair consoles, at a cost if its out of warranty, I think its $250
There is other places that repair them cheaper but I don't know the name of them, maybe google PS3 repairs

To check with Sony PS Support as to the process, you'd be best calling them:

yes they do but it cost min of 315.00 which i think is a rip off

sony is greddy u can get the the ps3 professinally repaired with the graphics chip

removed and reset with leaded soilder for arround 240.00 if its graphics issue

or get second hand drive for 160.00 if its your blu ray drive , then you get to keep your machine

not get someones elses

Sonys repair costs are a joke..sorry but its true.

just taking a stab in the dark here, but I highly doubt it costs Sony $250

or even close to fix the YLOD

My advice would be to take it to someone like Quadtronics

or similiar
