Hello, I was playing a game (well, Uncharted 2 demo) on my new replacement 60gb which came yesterday and about 10 minutes in, the PS3 turned itself off and the light just started flashing red. Upon seeing this and being worried that it was like the yellow flashing light I had last time, I pressed the reset button and it worked just fine again.

Can somebody tell me if I should contact sony and get another replacement within my 2 weeks replacement warrenty or if I should just leave it?

Any help would be brilliant.

hello again having a bad time with ur ps3 i had this problem once or twice, it does just go off. but then not many weeks later i got the YLOD if urs works still keep ur fingers crossed its ok

u might aswell if u are not like desperate to play it, and if u can get more than a few mins on it. at least if u havent had it long will get it swapped for free. i wouldnt risk it though and would get a new one.

If you've only got 2 weeks warrenty then keep playing on it to make it YLoD which is on its way i'm affraid. Mine did it 2 or 3 times before it finally bricked

Personally I would call Sony helpline on 08705 99 88 77 and explain you have a replacement PS3 that keeps shutting down on it's own. You have every right to be concerned with only a 2 week period to spot any problems

Give sony a call bud, if it happened once fine but its doing it again and its not like the system has got hot. Ring them up and arrange your replacement
