PS3 update 3.30 causes Bluetooth device syncing problems

I have just bought a new ps3 slim. When I updated it to 3.21 everything was fine then yesterday I was forced to update to 3.30 know I am having bluetooth device sinking problems, my official PS3 headset wont sink but it sinks fine on my older 60GB version.

After a while of messing around I eventually got the headset to work but when I turned the ps3 off and pulled the plug out it lost the bluetooth headset information again and failed to sink.

I don't know what to do because if I get the console replaced I am forced to update again then I might experience the same problems.

Re: PS3 update 3.30 causes Bluetooth device syncing problems

1. Delete the BT device from your devices list in [Accessory Settings].

2. Turn off your headset, turn off your console.

3. Turn your console back on, plug in your Official headset via USB. You must use the USB slot on the device, do not connect via the stand.

4. You will receive a message stating "Register Complete"

5. Unplug the device and turn it on.

Should fix the problem.

It worked, thanks for your help. Has other people reported problems with the latest firmware update 3.30?

Dualshocks not working and the usual "firmware 3.30" has bricked my console.

Re: PS3 update 3.30 causes Bluetooth device syncing problems

I  wish they would bug test the updates before release, and also they should not make them mandatory so they give people the chance to do some research on the update first and decide whether or not they want it. A brand new console can be bricked way too easily by a ***** update that wasnt really needed in the first place.

You have done that all wrong. The latest craze is to moan about firmware updates removing features, not moan about it adding features.

shawty forgot to mention that Sony gave you the FW for free, so you should be grateful! You just know they would have made buckets of money (well about £1 at most) if they charged for Trophy sorting!

Re: PS3 update 3.30 causes Bluetooth device syncing problems

Man this update complety 'Bricked' it , man o man this aint good ,

I have had a ps one  , 2 , and now a 3 and been a reliable custumor for years . I have had 1 ps one , !! 5 !! ps 2's and now i have two  ps3's broke down AGAIN , 1 80GB console which doesnt read discs(ofcourse just after warrenty it broke down, like ALL fckn WAYS)  and now this 40GB version with which i cant do anything.

So i have bought 8 consoles up untill now from 3 different systems ......This is getting rediculous , If they now make me buy a 9th one im putting a stop on console gaming , I have for 2000 Euros of (ps3)games with which i cant do anything after 21st of april so that would really really really blow . I might just have spent a fortune on  PS's and this is what i get for it???? a *****ING UPDATE bricking it now , WAAW

I cant believe this ***** sony , WHY o WHY
