Xmas 2013 would be my bet for a simultaneous worldwide release, for both it and the new Xbox.

I have a 120gb slim, I'm a ps+ member and taking full advantage of these free games were getting. My HDD is going to be full with a few months.
I noticed in gamestation yesterday a WHiTE 320gb ps3 slim with two white controllers, looks really nice.. Has this just popped up out of the blue? ...I could trade in my slim and pay £99 for the bundle which includes a game aswel.
Then, last night on the Internet pictures of a new super slim ps3 has surfaced..I believe them to be genuine, not sure on pricing and HDD size yet, but this makes me wonder about the ps4?
I thought we'd see it next year, but with no announcement looking likely..I can see it maybe being 2015 before we get out hands on it now. Just seems odd to release a couple new versions of the ps3 now if a ps4 was coming next year.
Is it worth upgrading to a new slim now?
OP why replace a perfectly working PS3 just for a model with a larger HDD. Simply upgrade your current 120GB models HDD done it twice myself first upgrade to 320GB and recently to 1TB.
This.
because im a sucker for white lol. i had the black iphone 4 but upgraded to the white 4s...not much difference in the actual device. i might just order some gelaskins though to freshen it all up.
...so, how much is 1TB HDD for ps3 then? is it easy enough to do? ...like i said im a ps+ member so cloud storage is all backed up for my games. i guess i could just go down this route..

Yep all PS3 models HDD's can be upgraded. I believe the HDD bay cover on slim models is below the the blu-ray disk slot. It's only a five minute job have a good set of correctly fitting screwdriver's for the HDD caddy. Have the latest firmware ready on a FAT32 formatted USB device to install after the switch. Don't forget to backup any important data first like game saves etc to put back after upgrading.

You get the firmware from your regional playstation.com website. It has to be in a folder called 'PS3' in that folder create another called 'UPDATE' download the firmware in there.

I'd imagine PS4 will cost around £299, can't see any reason why it should cost more. At very most £349, but I'd guesstimate £299. There isn't exactly anything new or special going into it.

In the current financial climate I think it's insane to release new hardware, only Nintendo might be be able to put out new hardware mainly because it won't cost much....less than ₤250.
PS4 will cost how much new ₤350-₤500?
The old ways have finished, only diehard gamers will pay over the odds prices for the latest hardware and this won't mean many sales.
If Sony can bring out a console between ₤200-₤300 I think it will fly, but all we have to do is look at Vita, 3DS, smartphones and tablets to see things are changing.
Either way I think next Gen one company will finish with consoles for good.
