Mine came this morning - nice to see one magazine not going nuts over FFXIII. They also mention Dantes Inferno is under 6 hours long, which is a bit of a shame for a game with no multiplayer...

Really looking forward to Heavy Rain now - looks stunning, especially as i loved Farenheit :smileyhappy:

Fancy a clan match on MW2? PM me, but be warned... we are pretty crap... :smileyhappy:

some of those scores are quite surpising....i played the Heavy Rain demo last night ,it was good...but i can see the 88% and not higher as i (and everyone else i am sure)was expecting.....Final Fantasy 13 being 70% though is a big shocker,i think its only Game Master magazine that have before this given it an average review

Re: PSM3 Review Scores - March 2010 - Issue 124

im guessing ffx13 has got lambasted on its linearity. from reading various previews the inlking i get is if you like FFX, you will like FF13, if you don't you wont like FF13.

theres a really good preview on kotaku, that explains some of the issues/problems some people are having with the game, and its a really good read, and for me its made the game seem worthwhile ( i,e the game is linear because of the nature of the story -you are being chased, so being chased in a open world area does not make teh story coherent, and tight.

i liked ffx alot, and i couldnt really get in to FF12, the story was non existant., i enjoy ff12: Reverent wings for the ds a whole lot more than 12. a whole lot more.

Re: PSM3 Review Scores - March 2010 - Issue 124

Final Fantasy would have  got 10/10 if it didnt have the words Final Fantasy in the title.

Its a curse of the seires success.  No matter how good the game is it will never meet up to what people want because they all want different aspects of previous final fantasies rolled into one.

Im glad that Square dont bow to pressure and end up delivering a game that has everything people want but is utter crap, like david bradon did with elite 2...

It annoys me all the time that its judged on what it doesnt have rather than what it has.  Its not just final fantasy tho this year all games seem to have reviews ranging from 4 - 10 out of 10 for the same games... 60% diference between reviewers of the same game is just ridiculous.

Re: PSM3 Review Scores - March 2010 - Issue 124

nomadic- i agree, that people want these bits, that bit, other bits, and more bits from all the ff titles rolled into one. i guess its easy to do that, theres been 12 major titles, several spin offs, all with there own amount of success, and failures, and each title is feircely debated over.  SQ-E stated from the start they wanted to explore how to deliver a story, and judging by all reviews/previews i have read, thats the major selling point of the game, so kudos to that.

its only a month, give or take a couple of  days, i can't wait to lose myself in the game. i know i will like it , has im a story driven fan.  that what has made me pick up ff titles since i first i played 7. im really curious how they deliver the story in 13, and thats why im also looking foward to Heavy rain, just for the fact that the type of gameplay/and story telling is tottally different from anyother game, if the story is good, im in!

Re: PSM3 Review Scores - March 2010 - Issue 124

I agree with cloudsheaven its all about the story for me.  FF12 is the only FF i haven't completed since FF6... i really could not get in to the story at all.  I'm looking forward to FF13 even if it is linear.  A lot of people did not enjoy FF9 as it was quite cartooney but seriously the story was not as 'dark' as most and they had really enjoyable interesting characters.  There will be no pleasing FF fans... Sqaure always does something different with each game that has to be applauded.
