Apart from the misleading thread name you are so way off the mark its unbelievable, Sony have always said PSN is free and always will be, but that doesnot include Sony charging to access X game on a subscription fee basis, and if they did alot of peeps (I mean complainers) will no doubt post a thread on how Sony are false advertising that PSN is free.

As someone has already mentioned, Sony can't justify charging for the service. It has become obvious over the last couple of years, when Sony use free PSN as a selling point, that it's not really that great ie you get what you pay for, which isn't very much to be fair. I mean, as some of you 360 owners know, the PSN is awful compared to Live and don't get me started on the pointlessness of home.

well if it got games released here in europe the same time as everywere else along with exclusive dlc for games like gta4 and fallout 3 and dropped prices here in europe well then yeah id pay for psn
