Play TV. Does it work with any cable provider?

[ Edited ]

I live in Kosovo and here we have cable TV with EPG Guide. I was wondering if I could buy a playtv to record shows. But I was wondering if playtv wether it works with any cable TV on the world or just UK&US.

Is it like a TV TUNER when you just plug your cable and you can record anything you want?

The only option you have on the PlayTV box is to plug in a coax cable. It does not allow you to pickup channels from your Cable TV.

its just a free view box . so for the uk , its just normal channels that are free over the air (you plug the box into your normal aerial)

Re: Play TV. Does it work with any cable provider?

PLAY TV is Free to air DVB-T recorder,

not CABLE, DVB-T works of UHF transmitter towers

Its not a PVR realy, its realy a Freeview Video Recorder (should be tagged FVR)

It has no other input other than a RF coaxial socket. unlike Real PVRs that record anyting you can connect to there in put sockets.

PlayTV can't even record like a VHS/DVD recorder did.

Why does your cable provider not included a PVR with your cable sub fee.
