They are taking ideas from XBOX live. If M$ did not make playing games online a big thing Sony would not even be thinking about it. They should call it PS3 live they are copying everything else.

Yup, thats also another reason why some fanboys should be quite. If it wasn't for competition, Sony would probably have said '**** online play, its not necessary'. Now because of the Xbox, the same sony fanboy bitches that whine about how playing unline sucks are jumping and excited that Sony went in that direction. Such, sheep...

Not really. The PC could never- has never- really delivered an experience such as live. Most people game on consoles so PC online gaming is kind of seperated and not as known to the average consumer. freakishly enough, a lot of celebs play on live aswel

all i want to know is , IS IT SPRING RELEASE IN EUROPE OR JAPAN. i wouldn,t be surprised if we in europe dont get it til november as rumoured.as for the new name/ logo maybe because the "in thing" is next gen they should call it PS3NG.N ice ring i think

Whatever happens, looking at the survey Sony sent out to Devs about what they'd like to see on an online PS3 serivce, they had some really good ideas, much better than LIVEs.

But considering the xbox was bought out for network gaming... Of course they're going to make it big. The only reason the PS2 was never as good, was because when it was released they never had it in mind. Hence why they bought out an adapter for it. They made a good come back even so. And even if it is copying i don't see why anyone should complain... They're improving their service. A huuuggeee improvement. I can't wait for it.
