Just a quick one guys but are Sony still planning to release a Play TV 2 device - HD and all that jazz..?

I seriously i doubt it will come now TBH. I'd like to think they are busy working on something new. 

I'd love the PS4 to have an internal Tuner.

Play TV 3 DVB-T2 HD = Dec 2015 at the earliest

Play TV DVB-T Version 2 has allready been released as a software upgrade on PSN in the 6 - 7 EU prime areas but it was not FREE. The 14 other areas of Secondary EU don't matter as Play TV was not released for them.

UK user would not PAY the Unit selling price of hardware released just for UK as the cost would have to be increased enough to make up for not releasing in the other 6 countries.

France, Germany and Spain won't be doing DVB-T2 rollouts untill after 2015-2017.

Italy already has Pay per view DVB-T2 with Licensed Heavy encyption rules which need a license to decode.

Its going to be a long wait just so UK users can watch 4 freeview HD channels. ( DRM will prevent Exporting content. ) 

When Freesat HD has loads more.

Microsoft keep getting there checkbook out to stop it. Home Console exclusive will belong to Xbox360 untill BSKYB ask for to much $$$$$.

 ( Idevices are NOT consoles there portable/mobile devices that can play games. )
