Hi All. Good thread.

Can anyone tell me what sort of information they ask for when you call up. I bought my ps3 second hand but it has now gone wrong - I am not the original purchaser - will this affect my chance of a replacement ?

Just received a shiny new replacement, my old one died. Only took 3 days to switch them, very happy with the customer service. I don't ever remember my old PS3 running this quietly though. ***Thumbs Up***

After coming back from my holiday abroad , I booted up my ps3 only to find that my controller was completely dead. I mean connecting it via usb did nothing. Since i've only used my ps3 occasionally since I got it in June I find that to be somewhat odd.
Would Sony send me a free replacement or would I need to buy another controller?

I really cant say anything bad about the Playstation Customer Service! Just got off the phone to them now and they are fantastic! You really don't mind speaking to them, they like to have a laugh Just had to let them know which songs i have downloaded off Singstar I have a new Playstation 3 coming tomorrow thanks to this fantastic service I will recommend this number to anyone as its great! i think you'll find if you call them they'll take all your details and then you have to send the controller in to their careline for testing, as long as it's faulty and not physically damaged, they'll send out another one!!!

iv'e just phoned up and im getting new (well not new) ps3 on Friday. Will it still be like my current one becasue i have looked after mine very well and i hope i don't get one that was owned by some 8 year old kid with chocolate all over it lol.

Finally got my copy of Oblivion back today from sony, after my original copy got stuck in my ps3. They did the replacement and said they would get my disk out and send it back to me, or if they couldnt get it out undamaged then they would send me a new copy Well, its taken them a while (apparently their department has to "buy" the game from another department) and i had to phone a couple of times to chase it up, but today they sent me a brand new copy of Oblivion... but its the game of the year edition!! WICKED!! LOVING SONY RIGHT NOW!!!

just got my new one today. and i say new becaue it looks brand new. it smells it too lol. it came about half 9 this morning still in bed. simple case of swapping them over. CHEERS PS/SONY!
