im going to have to phone tomorrow. my ps3 has started to make grinding noises when a disk is inserted. and its really anoying. i hear they come to your house and take your one away and give you a new one there and then. but im wondering if it would be more easy and quicker just to go back to GAME and get a new 40gb one. thanks for any advice

Ive just got off the phone with them, really helpful. A courier is gonna bring me a new ps3 on tuesday and they will swap it for my broke one. I was only in the que for like 3 mins. And the lines are open between 10 and 6

My PS3 came today, looks brand new. Mint condition, really impressed with the service. I backed up all my game saves and a few of my videos so im alryt with that.

hi, how did you back up your game saves? was it on a memory stick? if so how big. and did you get a brand new ps3 or a used one? cheers for any help!:gr8

u can back up games saves an that on USB HDD, or stick u might need a big size tho, u can perform a system back up which backs up music and videos on ur system too(not psn info).

I backed my game saves up on my old iPod nano, and a few of my videos. All my game saves from about 15 games took up about 12MB.
The PS3 seems brand new, not a scratch and it was covered in like a plastic seal thing that you peel off. So i think it was brand new.

Hi All. Good thread.

Can anyone tell me what sort of information they ask for when you call up. I bought my ps3 second hand but it has now gone wrong - I am not the original purchaser - will this affect my chance of a replacement ?
