Re: Please change the XMB

There is no point in changing something that is working perfectly (In my Opinion, that is).

Besides I find that it is easier to navigate then Xbox's dashboard...

Re: Please change the XMB

i know this is trolling, but gotta put my 2pennies worth in...

I love the XMB, have done since i saw it on the PSX (not PS1... the actual PSX), and its introduction on the PSP.

The only change i would like is the ability to hide icons you no longer use / need (all the store icons, for example)

Its slick, easy to use, and in general a pretty darn good GUI.

and "makes PS3 fans worry" that the XBox dashboard, is "cooler and more stylish"... no... the menu systems on any of my consoles (PSP, PS3, Vita) isnt on long enough for me to "worry" that there is a cooler one... it does the job its designed for.

Re: Please change the XMB

The XMB is brilliant in its simplicity and very classy with the standard XMB wave+glitter.

But it needs a lot of additions (and some things removing) and a lot of overall refinement. The vertical and horizontal scrolling is part of its core function but it can be limiting, so some tile based stuff needs to be integrated.

Some elements of the XMB feel tacked on imo.

My biggest problem is the response time of the XMB in some games can be painfully slow, it is as if it does not have enough memory to run it :smileysad:

Some times it fin other times it so slow it is quicker to turn the PS3 off and reboot.

I agree its so much easier to navigate, on the xbox you have to put up with all the advertisements and stuff which is really annoying and there is no need for it. It's your home console not a website
