The XMB is many things perfect isnt one of them.

I agree that its brilliant in its simplicity and ease to navigate but it is a little cluttered in places and there are too many STORE icons in my view.

But the biggest fault for me is that it is slow and laggy at times when accessing from the PS button in game this is the most frustrating thing for me about the XMB.

Having said that it is certainly not a dealbreaker and wouldnt have me rushing out to buy an XBOX.

And I would expect to see something fresh and new for the next generation Sony console.

For me it's perfect, I like the look of it and the only functions I use are to launch a game and to turn it off, so there's nothing to improve in my opinion.

Actually one other thing I use it for is to look at my trophies and it shows them perfectly so I can't knock the XMB one bit.

No way is the Xbox interface cool i didnt have a clue where anything was there was too much going on, atleast with the XMB everything is clearly labelled under a different title so you always know where everything is, simple is always best

Each to their own and all that but for me the xbox dashboard as got progressively worse with each update.
Yes LIVE does have more features than PSN but they come at a cost.

I wouldn't swap my clean, uncluttered XMB for anything. Looks great with my Killzone 3 dynamic theme as well.

The only feature I can think off is party chat. Besides from that, I don't think there's any difference between the two?

I disagree. I love XMB and did not find it annoying.

Xbox 360 on the otherhand is annoying.

sorry but if you're new to PS3, its not good to share your opinion with us.
