Okay, Engadget just posted supposed leaked information with the lowdown on this PSN premium thing. You can see the full-feature list here: http://www.engadget.com/2009/12/19/possible-psn-premium-services-detailed-in-leaked-survey/

To be honest I'm not overly impressed. The ability to time trial titles doesn't apply to big releases. The exclusive access to betas suggests free users won't be getting this stuff anymore, as does 'member-only in-game content'. The in-store discounts aren't worth subscribing for as you'll probably save more not subscribing.

Free access to PSone classics isn't bad, however many games remain unreleased, there's that and I for one am not interested in playing old games. Other features like catch-up TV and a music service are available elsewhere for fee - that and I have no idea why a music video service is listed when that's already available unless they're making it a premium feature.

The rest is just unnecessary or stuff that free users won't be getting - I don't need to be alerted by text when my friend gets a trophy. I don't need an online save backup service - I can back them up myself - if they're not unnecessarily f***#~$ copy protected. The only real reason to get this is for the extended warranty, which should already come with the Playstation 3 - one year already adequate.

Old, apparently they only took a survey as to what could/would be implemented into premium versions of PSN accounts.

Anyone that believes this tripe, needs to open a dictionary and understand what a survey actually is.

Frankly i'm not suprised Engadget posted this tripe, as the editors there are totoal morons, as are the readers. (usually American trailer-park hicks).
