Allready have an app store its in the store called "Media and applications" section.

Firefox
Is Copy right of MOZILLA and they have said publicly (they gave the news Exclusively to some random small site to screw over the rest) they have no interest in coding for PPC CPU of the PS3 and no one else can use the Firefox name as its copyright.
So there will never be firefox. does not matter because EVERY plugin system would also be disabled as they also would have to be coded buy the copy right owner and as you know. NO ONE wants to code them.
Can very easy make an app they just have to PAY for the PS3 SDK about >$10,000. then PAY for the software engineeers. but they Don't. Face book does not want PS3 traffic. Thats why they BLOCKED the PS3 browser at every turn.
SCE may like face book but FACEBOOK hates PS3. After the first Facebook uploader was released on PS3 (video and photos uploads) Face book servers slowed to a crawl as the PS3 load hit them hard and fast. 2 days later they Killed the browser dead.
Up and Coming apps leaked at CES 2012
There is a new Video player/editor/slide show maker.... due 2012... that will cost money $$ to buy, Think IMovie 09/Mplayer but expensive ( as its a single app ) and with less features, but people wanted an all in one video app and said they would pay in the survey.

Like your "Home made projector" thread why the hell would you want to make your own? your other thread was locked yesturday by Yaster because it got out of hand ended up been 21 pages long and in the end was locked because people where sick of it and the it was not even relative to the PS3 "General Discussion"
A think having your thread locked by a Mod is a clear sign that you are posting crap and is not relative in any way and for this thread i think you will find the PS3 Store already has a section for Apps its right at the bottom under Themes and Avatars limited selection granted but there is hardly no Apps like Facebook, Twitter etc simply because they do not want to pay Sony thousand of pounds for the PS3 SDK to make the app and for copyright issues etc
