When you go into the 'Video Output Settings', are you selecting the 'Automatic' or 'Custom' setting method?

The best one to use is 'Automatic' as this will list all avaliable screen resolutions for your tv.

It seems exceptional to be a Full Freeview TV able to output at 1080p at 22in at that price, does it show 'HD Ready' or 'Full HD' on the box?

 

Although looking at the argos reviews there is one that specifically states 1080p and PS3 so it may well just be a faulty unit
