Sadly my original 60gb PS3 has had the YLOD for the 3 time in as many months, so I think i must now bite the bullet and get a new one.. So frustrating when in the middle of COD, the screen goes blank and that horrid beep is heard

Two questions for some advice please...

firstly, I put a replacement 640gb disk in my current PS3 last year so is it worth me buying the smaller version, ie such as Sony PlayStation 3 PS3 Slim Console with 120GB HDD  and then put my disk in...  (I appreciate that i will have to reformat it and loose what is on it)...

Second, anyone know of any good deals at the moment

Sainburys are the same price if you want to go to your local and pick one up.

Ok, got my new ps3 from Sainsubury £165 with th 160gb disk in....  But is is ok for my to put my old disk in it which is 640gb

Yes but remember it will format the hard drive as soon as you put it in the PS3.
