I need to replace my blue ray drive becasue on some games it seems like the system is having trouble loading all of the game. BF3 seems to have messed up the laser or lens or both. After a few months of playing BF3 I started spawning without guns and constant freezing.

That was pretty much the only game I played on my (just now) 2 year old slim. Anyway, how would I go about replacing the blue ray drive, and would I need to replace anything else along with the drive?

It's Nothing to do with your drive it's battlefield it's self battlefield pushes the blue ray limit so sometimes you will experience problems.

Yeah but after having it start with BF3, Now other games are starting to not load all the way. I cant really play Max Payne 3 becasue it locks up all the time now or the lvls dont load right. Ill have missing walls...stuff like that. Red dead redemption has a hard time loading now also. 

It got to the point where every game I was spawning without weapons and/or freezing. It was unplayable.

Have you tried using the recovery console? Can't remember off-hand how you access it but if you search on here you will find it.

This may sort your problem out.
