always a fan of the originals... but for the next in the series, should Capcom just reboot it back to a more low level survival horror and drop the "we take on Umbrella Inc." and just go straight to regular people avoiding death. 

Work on the story with established horror writers etc....

i wish they would go back to how it was on 1+2 instead of how they done 5 even tho it was an ok game

I did enjoy the first few, 4 was interesting I suppose but i do prefer if they went back to like part 1 or 2. mix in little suspense liek the Silent Hill originals.

So you want another Resident Evil Outbreak? I would love another outbreak. I enjoyed Resident Evil Outbreak File 2 online on the good old PS2 network. Shame they shut the servers down so early .

I enjoyed Resi 5 as a game in it's own right but it didn't really feel like a 'proper' Resi game to me. It lacked any kind of suspense or brooding atmosphere, instead going for a more panic action style instead. The whole daylight setting and infected people rather than zombies goes against what I loved about the series in the first place.

I'd love it to go back to the original style. Slower pace, proper zombies, spooky atmosphere etc. Resi 2 still stands as my favourite in the series so far.

Having said that though, there is an argument to say that things need to move on. Some of us may prefer the original style but if was still the same as that would we now be saying that the series was getting stale?

As a person who only played Resident Evil 5, I'd say it was one of my favourite games ever with terrific re-playability. As ever though the original fans will usually take a dislike to any kind of change which is understandable.

So, for me, No I would not like to see a change in format as I thought Resi 5 was a top top game!

Dont' get me wrong i like the style of play in the latter Resi series, i just think now with grpahics as they are, if we could get the series back to an original setting, dark, atmospheric it would be great. I think there's plenty of scope to keep it from feeling stale by going semi-back to the original.

Saying that as i can't find my RE discs, love to see a HD port on the PSN of them all.

I'd certainly love to see that too

I do still have the original games but they are all Japanese & American imports so won't play on my PS3 (and I can't stand the slower running pal versions) and I really haven't got the space to set up my old trusty PS1. Plus it's all buried up the loft!

Maybe in outer space....or another planet ? Might be fun.

Don't joke about that - I wouldn't put it past Capcom. Remember Dino Crisis 3? What were they thinking? Who thought that dinosaurs in space was going to be a good idea??
