STICK WITH THE 60 GIG MODEL??

Hi guys , just recieved my third console back from Sony, the first two died from the same problem.

So is it worth me shelling out even more money when this one dies, (which it probably will)

or should i just get myself a new slim console. I don,t mind moving with the times but i do like

the backwards compatability this version offers. Has anyone out there changed consoles only

to find out they regret it?

Re: STICK WITH THE 60 GIG MODEL??

best option would be getting a slim dude, the 60gb models were stopped for a reason.

I'd get rid of your current one ASAP. Sell it to CEX or something. It won't be long before you get another problem. They are refurbs. Then use that money and get a slim. If you want to play PS2 games, get a PS2.

You could just wait for when the 60GB dies before getting a slim - unless you're wanting to save money, in which case trade it in whilst it's in working order.

I liked the backwards compatability as well, but at the end of the day, did I really use it when there were plenty of next-gen games to choose from - no.

Re: STICK WITH THE 60 GIG MODEL??

I have an original 60gb model and I love it to bits and will replace it with another when it dies. It has been refurbed once already.

I also have a slim which I use as my main console, but I dont like it half as much. It just feels tacky and common. I think if you were lucky enough to get one of the original consoles you should do all you can to keep hold of it.
