Should I stop rushing through games

Currently the way I roll is if there is a sequel or a game in a series coming out I tend to buy and rush through the current game so I can buy the next one

Should I carry on doing this?

Or just play through at my own pace and enjoy/appreciate the game more?

Re: Should I stop rushing through games

do you enjoy playing how you do? If so then carry on, though you are probably missing out on a load of content.

I did that with assassins creed: brotherhood and I know I missed out on loads because of it, I tend to do a lot of side stuff but sometimes I won't do everything if it's basically the same mission 20 times.

I feel that you should take your time, I mean the next title isn't going anywhere so just play it at an enjoyable pace and then move to the next one
Thats how I do it :smileyhappy:

Re: Should I stop rushing through games

if you don't really enjoy it then slow the pace and take the time to get what you want out of it.

It's supposed to be fun, not a chore

Maybe you and the person with the 'i want quick games to play' thread need to have a chat...? ;-)

Yea kinda like Michelle said if thats how you enjoy playing them (which seems not to be the case?)

"In regards to single player mostly"
Say if its an open world game like gta or assassins creed, then "hell yeah", im checking out every available nook n cranny, (and in AC's case ) every bit of building/area/character info (its like the history lessons I skipped at school).
If its say somet like Uncharted. I like to take in all the views, find all the 'edges of the playing world' in hope of finding treasures etc.

Driving games and things like SSX I tend to rush through the SP just so you get the best kit reqd, to put in the best times/scores...

Re: Should I stop rushing through games

Its your games and you can do what you liked with your games. For me I too can rush my game sometimes. If I want to unlocked something In the game. For example Tekken unlocking characters etc. We all play different In our games.

Re: Should I stop rushing through games

Play the way you want to play. I used to rush through games, buy them at launch and top top dollar for eveything. Now I only do that for the games I love like Halo 4 and Skyrim. Skyrim taught me not to pre-order games in case of any issues.

I bought 4 games in the last few weeks and only spent ~£15  I would say that pacing games means you will save a little more money. I know people that only complete 2 games a year and they don't feel like they are missing out on anything.

Play the way you want to play.
Although if you're paying full price and blitzing your way through them, maybe it might be wiser to rent..
