Skryim Races vs. Oblivion Races

Hey guys,

I have a quick question about the Skyrim races...for those of you who played Oblivion you might remember all the birthsigns and other things besides skillset when creating your character (ex. Strength, endurence, willpower, depending on race). Do this exist in Skyrim, or do all races have the same strenth, endurence, etc, with the only difference being original skillset?

Thanks!

Re: Skryim Races vs. Oblivion Races

each race has a different power. There are no birthsigns or anything like that. Each race starts off with the same health, magika and stamina so then you can progressively build it up

Re: Skryim Races vs. Oblivion Races

@ xXDryEyesXx - Uhm, they dont all start with the same magic health etc.  - eg. a high elf starts off with 50+ extra magic, and all races have different stats to start off with aswell. The only major difference is that you cannot see any racial stat differences (as far as i know?) without seeing a guide, and unlike oblivion, you cannot customise your own strength, stamina, stats etc. until levelling up in the game.

Re: Skryim Races vs. Oblivion Races

There are ten playable races in Skyrim, each of which has its own unique abilities and powers, as well as a +10 bonus to one skill and +5 bonuses to five other skills. As a result, race is the only choice during the character creation process that has an effect on gameplay. sauce

They have definitely "streamlined" (I read it as "removed options from") the system since Oblivion, though. I miss the ability to customise your character the Oblivion way.

Technology is wasted on the ignorant.
