We need an in-game voice service where we can communicate with friends on other games or with skype people on pc. This will be good when counter-strike : Global offensive comes out because it will be cross platform with Ps3 and PC.

I have often thought that as well....
The only logically thoughts (short of googling for a possible answer) is that PS3 to PS3 video chat (if you have an eye camera) is possible and adding skype and allowing PS3 to multi format video chat may inhibit sales...(i.e void of having any other skype capable device getting a PS3 is the only to video chat with another PS3)...a competition thing ???
That said a majority of people have mulitple other devices capable of skyping as well as a PS3...so I dunno...
Possibly flawed logic......funnily enough I use my PS3 camera to skype on my PC ![]()
The only time I have used video chat is with Kiwi...
