Honestly, this game from the very, very little I've read would be one of the most terrible games to watch a youtube walkthrough for. So much of it seems to be about the experience, the breathtaking vistas and unseen areas. To ruin it by seeing even a few moments of the game (which isn't particularly long so watching even 5 minutes is more damaging than they would be for, say, God of War or another full length game). Flower, despite it's short length, was one of the best games I've played this generation (although I always seem to forget it when commenting on my favourite games, probably due to it being a downloadable game) and this is reportedly even better.

I've read no reviews from the media. I've not read any reviews from users (only very short comments about the game that give nothing away about it). I've avoided screenshots, video reviews, trailers and walkthroughs and it didn't even require much difficulty to do so (very little in fact) and I've no doubt it will be vastly better for me as a result, just like Demon's Souls and Flower was when I played them for the first time.

So whereas I am willing to pay for quality over quantity (and won't wait for a price drop) I agree with your approach to avoiding details on the game and in general it will make it more enjoyable, especially for such a short game like this.

If you're daft enough to pass this by because its been a Plus Exclusive or the price is too high that's simply your lose.

For the amount of tedious folk on here who have a pop at, say Cod, for being a rip-off because it has no fresh ideas I'm disappointed to see that when a lovingly crafted, original game hits the PSN people still find it within themselves to moan.

In relation to the OP I doubt you're naive enough to genuinely think Sony are crazy for their marketing of this. Yes, they may have lost your impulse buy but you're still buying it. Even if you get it at 50% after waiting 8 months they'll still get a fiver from you. Chances are they'll only reduce it once they've gained from the extra Plus subscribers or enough purchasing at full whack anyway.

I have never been so certain of a game justifying it's full price since the first Metal Gear Solid. This game is a work of art, on more than a visual level. Thats not to say everyone will fall in love with it but if you don't you've got no soul.

Some people seem to be saying that getting Journey a week early is great content.  No it's not.  The game is ready for all so PS+ is giving you nothing here.  Everyone else can get the game next week if they want it, and they can buy it at the same price as you.

I'll wait as I still haven't started Monkey Island 2 which I have sitting on my console, and that was kinda my point about reason returning once I was unable to impulse buy.

I really have no issue with it.  I just question it in terms of £££'s.  A PSN game with some of the biggest hype surrounding it's release is made available on it's launch to, at best, half of Sonys customers.  IMO from my own experience this is a really good way to kill some enthusiasm & impulse sales.

I can't wait to play it, well obviously I can but you know what I mean, I'm looking forward to it one day

just remember when you get ps+ you have to pay for the ps+ as long you have the ps3. if you want to play the games/dlc you have bought with ps+... if you don't want to pay anymore, all your bought/free ps+ games/dlc get locked. so just remember that before you throw your money on 'journey'... its a deal with the devil...

I am not PS+ member myself i am pretty certain you keep paid for content discounted or early access content it's the free content you lose if you let the PS+ sub expire.

u dont lose your content if u have paid for it

also some other content and games ie trine are free to keep even if your sub runs out

PS+ gets an exclusive dynamic theme with the game.

The game's developers were adveritising that EVERYONE would have the option of pre-ordering on PSN if they didn't have PS+, and that pre-orders would get the same dynamic theme.

EU Store decided, without letting thatgamecompany know, apparently, that they wouldn't offer the pre-order. Someone from thatgamecompany has said he expects the theme to come with the game on release, BUT THEY DON'T KNOW.

Would be nice if someone could confirm what's going on there.

How many times do you need to be told that this is not the case at all?

Bought content is not locked if you let the sub expire at all but you've been told that already countless times now across numerous threads in the past.
