I dont think the point is copying the ideas, thats a given trhoughout history,.

I think the point is more to do with the NAMES, the blatent ripping off of the names..

If microsoft copy the games or ideas and make them thier own i have no issue, if they do a good job its another great game for me to play.. But they could at least come up with an original name, a name that doesnt make you imediatly think of the game they are ripping off.

And you're telling me Sony aren't trying to dominate every market they have a hand in? What about Tesco? Same principle, and lots of people 'hate' them for the same reason they 'hate' Microsoft. We can try and make it personal, and persuade ourselves that the likes of Microsoft are evil, but what consumers are really kicking back against is capitalism, but that's too big a fish to fry so we like to focus on those that have been most successful by that principle. But let's not kid ourselves.

Yeah, well we all know that. Hell, there has never been a M$ product that was actually M$'s idea. They do certain things very well, often taking someone else's concept and developing it. But when it comes to games and game consoles they have got a loooong way to go. Unfortunately for them, its a field where you need to be able to come up with original ideas that actually work. No wonder M$ is flailing around copying all of these ideas that are on the PS3 already....

Ye because Microsoft didnt develop the first console to have an internal hard drive as standard, or they didnt develop the first console to have integrated online features, they also were the first to offer  cheap, small downloadable games (Xbox Live Arcade Games)

I mean Sony never copied any of these fatures did they, I mean they never copied the Marketplace and called it PSN, and they never copied XBLA games and they also never copied putting a hard drive into their console..................oh wait, they did.

Seriously in this day and age there is no such thing as originality, I mean we could say that Sony copied ID Software when Sony developed Killzone (ID Software did Doom) we could also say that Sony copied the bloke who invented Kareoke when they did Singstar.

I agree with you on the first two points but the highlighted was bound to happen whether Microsoft did it or not.
