While I agree with you 100% things are never that simple.

I know a games programmer that has worked on some well known games.  Every time a new console comes out, projects that have been worked on for the past 6 - 18+ months are shelved to concentrate on new titles for the new consoles.

When major publishers act like this (I suspect because of financial incentives from console makers), that leaves us with a choice. Stick with our current console and find no good new stuff being released, or buy a new console to enjoy the latest and greatest games.

does make me laugh when people say sony started work on the ps4 as soon as the ps3 came out, so you think they've been designing a new console for 7 years lol. If they did that they would have to keep starting again every year when the tech got better. Im hoping for the next console it will be compatible with 4k 2k as all this 1080p nonsense will be history in a few years.

Well once the ps4 is out I hope Sony and other devs would consider bringing out alot more remasterd PS2 games on the ps3..

1080p at 60 fps with AA minimum for every game like on my PC.

if you can tell the difference between 720p and 1080p then you have super human eyesight, 1080p is a waste of time.
