lol, even if this is true .. and until Sony announces it themselves Im not beleiving it .. you dont think its worth a couple of bucks a week (probably less but i cba gettin a calculator) for what you would have access to?

No I absolutely do not. Xbox Live has been a blatant money grab right from the start and there's a tonne of instances of MS double dipping where they charge the user for the service and also the developer/publisher. The publisher still pays for hosting as far as I'm aware and all they get from MS is their matchmaking service.

The only time I would ever pay for something like that is where it was reflective of the true cost of the service and at $100 odd a year that certainly is not. After paying upwards of $1000 for the console $100 for the game and sacrificing my firstborn for an internet connection I don't think it's unreasonable to expect free hosting...

See thing thing that would have immediately tipped anyone off that this news is fake is the supposed $60-80 a MONTH fee. That in terms of the Australian Dollar is much more than someone would pay for a monthly internet connection or pay tv (on average). Also considering XBL is roughly $80 for a year, $60-80 a month is laughable. HA HA HA

Well if they can introduce a feature to PSN that allows my PS3 to pour me a beverage while playing, I'll gladly pay $60-80 a year. Either that, or if that drastically improve PSN to make it worth $60-80 a year, I'll pay.

People need to stop believing this garbage... Sony has said many times that there PSN will remain free.
